Man sodomises neighbour's son,forces him to swallow sperms

A 34-YEAR-OLD man from Entumbane suburb in Bulawayo is on the run after allegedly sodomising his neighbour's six-year-old son and forcing him to swallow his semen.
The man allegedly took advantage of the absence of the boy's grandmother to lure him to his house on 18 August where he abused him. Residents in the suburb on Monday said the man was an ex-convict who was jailed for seven years in 2002 after being found guilty of rape.
They said he had a rape case thrown out of court due to lack of evidence last year. Some residents vowed to castrate the man if they ever saw him again. The boy's mother, who travelled from South Africa after she heard the story, could hardly speak because of grief.
The boy's grandmother said on the day the incident occurred, she came home in the afternoon and found the boy missing.
"I called his name and he came out of the neighbour's house walking in a strange manner. His head was hanging down and he looked utterly dejected. I immediately suspected that something was wrong. When I questioned him, he refused to speak. He just said he wanted to go to the toilet. It was all strange. The boy stuck to his story that nothing was wrong. However, he told his cousins that the man had forced him to have anal sex and threatened to beat him up if he did not comply with his orders," said the grandmother.
The grandmother said she called the boy's aunt the following day to question him and he opened up.
"We were shocked. We called the accused's mother and she examined the boy and said nothing was wrong with him. When we took him to Entumbane Clinic they referred us to the police, who in turn referred us to Mpilo Central Hospital," said the grandmother.
She said the boy was examined at the hospital and given medication to reduce chances of contracting HIV.
"They then compiled a report that they sent to the police. We do not know what was in the report. The accused person disappeared on Tuesday and police are still hunting for him," said the grandmother.
The boy's mother said she was pained by the abuse her son had suffered.
"It is a heavy weight in my mind and heart. I have to bear the additional trauma of waiting three months for another HIV test to determine whether he was not infected. These people are my neighbours and I cannot avoid speaking to them daily. However, I believe they know where their son is hiding and I appeal to them to tell the police. This nightmare will not be over until he is behind bars. I fear that since his whereabouts are unknown, he might kidnap my son when he is coming from school and do worse things to him," said the boy's mother.
The woman said courts should not show mercy on people like the accused person because he had shown that prison had failed to reform him.
"If we ever see that man, we shall cut off his private parts. He does not deserve to be free in society. He once went to prison after developing a habit of waylaying strangers in the bush and raping them," said a neighbour.
Contacted for comment, acting police spokesperson for Bulawayo Assistant Inspector Bekimpilo Ndlovu confirmed the incident.
"We are handling a case of aggravated indecent assault involving a 34-year-old Entumbane man and a six-year-old boy. Police investigations are in progress," said Asst Insp Ndlovu.
He said according to the law such abuse was only called sodomy if both parties consented.
"They would then be both charged with sodomy because it is against the country's law," he said.

Minister Of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji resigns

In what comes as a shocking development, the minister of power, Barth Nnaji has resigned his appointment from the cabinet of president Goodluck Jonathan.
His resignation has been accepted by the president.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati in a short press statement issued on Tuesday said “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has accepted the resignation with immediate effect of the Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji.

“President Jonathan thanks Prof. Nnaji for his services to the nation under the present administration and wishes him well in his future endeavours.”

Details of the circumstances surrounding the resignation of the Ministers were not available as at the time of publishing this report.

Since his appointment as the Minister of Power, Prof Nnaji, a graduate of physics at St John’s University had canvassed for major reforms in the Nigeria comatose power sector.

As part of his reforms programme, the Minister has embarked on a scheme to privatise Nigeria’s power generation plants as well as the country’s transmission company. This move have pitched Prof Nnaji against the electricity workers, who felt threatened that the private companies would sack them if they assume management of privatised companies.

Prof Nnaji is the director and a founder of the Automation and Robotics Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He was made a professor of mechanical and industrial engineering in 1992.

He is also the founder of the first indigenous owned power generating company in Nigeria and was also a former minister for Science and Technology in the country.

He ran in the 2007 Nigerian presidential election as the candidate for the Better Nigeria Party.

20-year old man raped till he fainted by three young women in Zamfara

Many bizarre stories come out of Nigeria these days, but the one that came out of Gusau, Zamfara State this weekend will surely rank very high up there.

According to newspaper reports, three women were arraigned before a Higher Shari’a Court in Gusau for allegedly raping a 20 year old man. The man, Abdulrahman Sulaiman, was a Man-O-War volunteer who went to the Women Multi-Purpose Center in Gusau to help organize a preaching session organized by the state’s Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs for women during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the police prosecutors three women, Hannatu Ibrahim [23], Wosila Hassan [20] and Rukayya Hassan [21] conspired among themselves and serially raped Abdulrahman until he lost consciousness! How did this happen? The prosecutors said they lured him into a corner of the Women’s Centre, where they “forced” him to make love with them in turn until poor Abdulrahman fell unconscious. It was said that he was rushed to hospital, where he was later resuscitated.

The three women have now been remanded in prison custody until Monday next week, when witnesses will be called to the court to testify against them.

I suspect that half of Gusau town will turn up in court on that day to hear the evidence against the three “conspirators.” If the three women and the man in question actually did what they were alleged to have done 1] at a preaching session 2] during the month of Ramadan 3] when the centre was brimming with other women and children, then it will be a new low in religious morality in this part of the world.

The evidence will however be very interesting and it may force this country’s lawyers and jurists to have to rewrite the law on rape. Some years ago, I heard a senior lawyer say on television that the law on rape as it stands today does not envisage a woman raping a man, unless if he is a minor who is seduced by a much older woman. Otherwise, the lawyer said, “a woman cannot really rape a man because it requires his willing cooperation” to effect the act.

It will be interesting to see if the witnesses will say Abdulrahman shouted for help while he was being raped. Or what the three women used to force his cooperation---a gun or a knife, for instance. Anatomically speaking, while a man can successfully rape a woman who is not cooperating but who goes limp at gunpoint, the same can hardly be said of the reverse case. A man who has a gun or a knife pointed at him and goes limp cannot be successfully raped!

My only fear with this story is that many men in Gusau and around this Nigeria will wistfully wish that they were the ones that were raped. Mark you, the three alleged “conspirators” are young women hardly out of teen ages. They will find many willing takers in Gusau and elsewhere in Nigeria without resorting to any force! In fact, if someone were to call for male volunteers to be raped, in this Nigeria, the queues will be longer than the men who lined up at the Hisbah Office in Kano to marry widows and divorcees!

Prison Break in 9ja

Forty prisoners have escaped from a jail in the northern Nigerian town of Damaturu after it was stormed by a group of armed men, police say.

Yobe state police commissioner Patrick Egbuniwe said his men were overpowered by at least 40 attackers at the prison.

The past few months have seen several jail breaks in northern Nigeria, some but not all of which have been admitted by the Islamist group Boko Haram.

There were no suspected Boko Haram members in the jail, Mr Egbuniwe said.

The attackers entered the prison at dawn on Sunday with firearms and explosives.

Police tried to resist the attack but were overpowered. There were reports of injured on both sides.

No group has said it carried out the attack.

The jailbreak comes after a week of violence in northern Nigeria including attacks on churches by Boko Haram which has left about 150 people dead.

At least 40 people were killed in gunbattles in Damaturu between the group and security forces.

The violence led to the removal of the country's defence minister and national security adviser.

Boko Haram, which means "Western education is forbidden" in the Hausa language, seeks to overthrow the government and establish an Islamic state.

The group adheres to a strain of Islam that outlaws any kind of activity linked to Western culture.

One of the group's demands is the release of all its jailed members.

Mom Jailed for sleeping with Son

The California mom who slept with her estranged teen son says she didn't commit incest - it was "genetic attraction."
Mistie Rebecca Atkinson, 32, was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison on Wednesday in Napa County Superior Court, according to the Napa Valley Register.
In May, Atkinson, of Lake County, Calif., pleaded no contest to incest, oral copulation, lewd contact with a minor and distribution of lewd material to a minor, the newspaper reports.
But in a letter to the court, Atkinson said she doesn't consider what she did as incest.
"I don't feel like I should have the charge of incest because there is something called genetic attraction that is a very powerful (phenomenon) that happens to 50 (percent) of people becoming reunited with a long-lost relative," she wrote.
Atkinson, who had been estranged from her son nearly his entire life, was reunited with the teen last year, when she tracked him down on Facebook, a law enforcement source told the Daily News.
She reportedly sent her then 16-year-old son multiple inappropriate messages and nude photos.
Police arrested Atkinson, when they found the pair in a hotel room in April, after the boy's family learned about the relationship and contacted authorities.
Last month, ABC's "Good Morning America" ran a segment about genetic sexual attraction (GSA), the alleged phenomenon Atkinson may have been referencing in her note.
While little research has been done on the theory, some psychologists say that biological family members who are separated for long periods of time risk becoming sexually attracted to each other when they reunite.

HIV treatment found

TRUVADA is an anti-HIV-1 drug in the nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI or "nuke") family. TRUVADA is a combination of 2 NRTIs (2-NRTI). TRUVADA is for use in combination with other HIV-1 medicines to treat HIV-1 infection in adults.

It is important for anyone taking Truvada to note that Truvada:

Does not cure HIV or AIDS
Has not been shown to lower your chance of passing HIV to others
Should only be taken in combination with other drugs for HIV

USE OF TRUVADA

TRUVADA is a type of medicine called an HIV-1 (human immunodeficiency virus) nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor and combines EMTRIVA^® (emtricitabine) and VIREAD^® (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate [DF]) in one pill. TRUVADA is always used with other anti-HIV-1 medicines to treat adults with HIV-1 infection.

Do not take TRUVADA if you are already taking ATRIPLA^® (efavirenz 600 mg/emtricitabine 200 mg/tenofovir DF 300 mg), VIREAD, EMTRIVA, Combivir^® (lamivudine/zidovudine), Epivir^® or Epivir-HBV^® (lamivudine), Epzicom^® (abacavir sulfate/lamivudine), or Trizivir^® (abacavir sulfate/lamivudine/zidovudine) because these medicines contain the same or similar active ingredients. Do not take TRUVADA with HEPSERA^® (adefovir dipivoxil).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Contact your healthcare provider right away if you experience any of the following side effects or conditions while taking TRUVADA:

Nausea, vomiting, unusual muscle pain, and/or weakness. These may be signs of a buildup of acid in the blood (lactic acidosis), which is a serious medical condition
